I didn't always know what I was chasing. I just knew the feeling when I found it.
A pair of underwear I'd bought myself. Not handed to me. Not an afterthought shoved in a multipack.
I wore them on the days that mattered. Nobody else knew. I did. And that was enough to change how I stood in a room.
The first layer became background noise. The thing you grab without thinking. Wear without noticing. Replace without caring.
I couldn't stop thinking about how something that mattered once could mean nothing at all now.
Not with logos. Not with campaigns. With fabric that actually feels like something. With a fit that moves with you and stays there.
Every decision starts with how it feels. That's it. That's the whole thing.
The first pull.
That pair. I bought my first set of special underwear.
The decision.
I'd had the feeling for years. December was when I stopped waiting and started.
The research.
What was the gap. Why nobody had filled it. What I actually wanted to build and why it had to feel like a record drop.

The frustration.
Every manufacturer looked right on paper. None of them were right in practice.

The grind.
No connections. No blueprint. Just a laptop, a lot of tabs, and a feeling worth chasing.
The design.
What does an underwear brand look like if it drops like an album? Figured it out slowly, then all at once.

Into production.
First manufacturer contacted. First proper conversation about what TACTO actually needed to be.

The samples.
Three rounds. Three times not quite right. Fourth time — finally felt it.

The packaging problem.
How do you put underwear in a vinyl sleeve? Nobody had done it. We figured it out anyway.

It became real.
Holding the finished product for the first time. The sleeve. The weight. The feeling I'd been chasing since I was seventeen.
The van arrived.
600 sets. One van. One founder absolutely bricking it on a Tuesday morning in Hackney.

Every order packed by hand.
Literally every single one. Late nights, kitchen table, vinyl sleeves, tissue paper. No shortcuts.

TACTO launches.
Drop 001. The opening pressing. The feeling, finally made real and sent out into the world.
We're just getting started.
Come along for the ride.
